The Fight To Win: Episode one

 One, two, three! One, two, three! One, two, three!

Life comes by phase by phase. To climb a mountain, you need to first learn how to hold on to rocks.To swim an ocean, you need to learn how to dive into a river. To run a marathon,you need to learn how to run a mile. To become the best, you need to learn how to be a novice. To be a winner, you need to learn how to lose.

Stanley Gregory. Fastest track runner at Forest High school. Now a competitor for the national track event. He was dumbfounded the very moment he opened the mail and saw his name as part of the competitors for the event. Though not the dream he had in mind, the words of his father kept him on track. Life comes by phase by phase. He knew to achieve his dreams, he needed to pass through this phase. He needed to win this phase.

"I got it dad, I got into the track team" Stanley screamed as he entered the living room. "I got it!" he continued to scream but was rather met by the horrific looks in the eyes of his mom and his brother.

 Right there in front of his eyes was his dad lying helplessly on the floor. His mom an younger brother stood over him. " What happened?" He asked in shock.

"Your dad, your... your" His mom said stammering. "Your dad, he slipped and fell" she finally managed to say.

"Have you guys called for an ambulance?" Stanley asked.

"Yes, I did that immediately I saw dad on the floor.They should be here any moment now" Phil said.

"Oh God, please not now" Stanley murmured to himself. Tears were already welling up in his lids. This was suppose to be a happy moment for him.. But then again, the words his father always said ran through his mind. Life comes by phase by phase. He closed his eyes. He prayed to be able to win this one.
